Professionally Guided Waterfowl Hunting in Alberta, Canada
Bob and Angie, Owners
Your hosts, Bob Clark and his lovely wife Angie, take great pride in ensuring that all of their guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay. From the moment you arrive you will be in good hands. With everything from the world class hunting to the exceptional lodging and delicious gourmet meals, it is no wonder that some of their guests have been coming back for 10 plus years.
Outfitter, Bob Clark, has been hunting ducks and geese in this area for over 35 years, including 25 years of guiding/outfitting experience. Bob takes great pride in hosting only one group at a time, maximum six per group. This ensures personalized service, exclusive use of the lodge and the best possible hunting opportunities each and every day.
Angie always enjoys hosting guests and preparing gourmet meals for our hunters. Her bubbly personality and welcoming smile are a complement to her skills in preparing first class meals each and every day. No matter if it is breakfast, lunch or supper, Angie’s culinary treats never disappoint. Fresh baked bread, buns and desserts are a daily staple. For hunters with dietary restrictions, Angie is more than happy to plan her meals accordingly.
Mark Thirlwell, Guide
Mark has been guiding hunters since 2002 when the business began and in 2015 Mark was recognized by Alberta Professional Outfitters Society as Waterfowl Guide of the Year. Mark and Bob grew up hunting waterfowl in the region with their fathers and have been hunting together ever since with the addition of his black lab puppy, Lucy, in 2017, the two of them complement one another and make a terrific pair. Mark’s experience, personality and attention to detail are an invaluable asset to the Dog ‘n Duck team. Mark aims to please on every hunt and has proven this time and time again.
Jordan Clark, Guide
Bob’s son, Jordan, has grown up hunting birds with his father and grandfather and has learned a lot along the way. Jordan has been a guide with dog and duck since 2012 and loves every minute of it. His enthusiasm and dedication are only surpassed by his outgoing personality and pleasant nature. Jordan is proud to be part of the Dog ‘N Duck team and along with his Labrador retriever, Starsky, they work hard and continue to impress year after year.
Steve Gloade, Guide
Steve is an avid outdoorsman whom we welcomed to the Dog ‘n Duck team in 2018. After a successful career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, he retired to pursue his passion for conservation and the great outdoors. He now works for us as a full time guide for the bird hunting season and operates Outdoor Medicine, a support service for helping people suffering from disorders like PTSD and depression by encouraging and participating in various outdoor activities. Steve has quickly adapted to the guide scene and will do whatever it takes to ensure a great hunt and happy hunters.
